We often take phone calls in our office regarding garage door prices. This is quite a difficult question to answer as there are many contributing factors which can affect the price. We usually tell people an approximate starting price for a garage door, including fitting and VAT, however, the factors which can affect the price are size, colour, style and how the door is being fitted and what sundry items are required. We also calculate the amount of time required for the installation and out this on as a labour charge.
How much is a garage door?

Roller garage doors, fitted, start at around £1200 upwards.
Side-hinged garage doors, fitted, start at around £1400 upwards.
A remote control system for a single sized garage door would add approximately £400 and for a double sized door, would add approximately £500.
The prices above are representative of a typically 7 x 7″ door, in white and a ribbed design.
We would always try and give customers a rough price over the telephone, if this is what they wish for. The next step would be to visit our showroom, to have a look at the various options we have on display, then we’d book a site survey knowing which specification of door they are interested in. At this point, we’d be able to give an exact price, based on each customer’s requirement and specification. We would then ask for 30% deposit and order their door.
